Golden Sandy Shores
Between the world renowned Holkham beach and the unique bird sanctuary of Blakeney Point, lies the pretty harbour town of Wells-next-the-sea. Take a trip on the “Wells Ferry” to experience the sights and sounds of the harbour by boat, discover the beach and learn about the salt marsh on this harbour trip. For that little extra, book the evening experience to return to the quay during sunset and fall in love with the lights of the town reflecting on the water.
The award winning beach at Wells-Next-The-Sea is lined with colourful stilted beach huts many of which are whimsically-named! With it’s vast golden sandy shores and raised dunes that offer shelter on a windy day the beach has something for everyone. Situated a mile from the town, connected by a raised path known as the beach mile, with heightened views across the channel and over the marshes this is the perfect walkway especially when enjoyed with fish ’n’ chips too!
Dogs are allowed on the beach at Wells subject to certain restrictions, we recommend checking these prior to arrival.
